As dental hygienists, our focus is on keeping your teeth and gums healthy by providing dental cleaning, fluoride treatments, and gum care. However, treatments like fillings, root canals, and extractions involve working inside the tooth or removing it, which only a dentist is legally allowed to do. If we see anything that needs further treatment, we will guide you on the next steps and refer you to a dentist and/or specialist.
-
As independent mobile dental hygienists in Ontario, we are fully licensed to provide preventive dental hygiene care. However, Ontario regulations require that a dentist must prescribe any dental X-rays before we can take them. This is because X-rays are considered a diagnostic tool, and only a dentist can legally diagnose dental conditions. If we determine that an X-ray might be needed, we will guide you on the next steps.
Cost & Insurance
-
Our pricing is transparent as we follow the Ontario Dental Hygienists’ Association Suggested Fee Guide which is updated yearly. We only provide direct billing for The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) and The Non-Insured Health Benefits for First Nations and Inuits (NIHB).
-
Yes! We accept most dental insurance plans and can submit claims directly to your provider or provide receipts for reimbursement. Please note that any costs not covered by the CDCP/NIHB will be the patient’s responsibility and must be paid at the time of the appointment.
-
Absolutely! We proudly accept:
The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)
Non-Insured Health Benefits for First Nations and Inuits (NIHB)
-
Yes, to cover travel, setup, and pack-up time, there is a $65 mobile fee per visit. However, for group or family bookings, this fee is only charged once per visit, not per person.
